I’m selling my monopod. It’s a carbon fiber Velbon Sherpa Pro Pod 1. Asking price is at P4,500, negotiable.
Bought this in Qatar in 2007. I don’t use it too often that’s why I decided to dispose of it.
A monopod adds stability to your camera to avoid camera shake. It’s not as stable as a tripod but definitely more convenient to carry around. It’s mostly used by photographers who have long lenses, as they add support to the lens as well.
Media college summarizes the advantages as follows:
On my way back to the office right after lunch, I was greeted by this scene just in front of our office building.
“Disaster!”, was the first thing in my mind, but on second thought, I believe I have to condition myself already with this scene in the area during heavy rains.
Had an opportunity to shoot at models today at the Photo World Manila 2008 Exhibit at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati, Philippines.
Visit my flickr photos for more pictures. More uploads are coming up in the photoset.
I’ve actually read about this news early this week in Pinoytechblog, which according to the report, the fire was caused by a computer that overheated.
I just didn’t realize how big the fire was until I discovered only this morning on my way to the office the damage that was actually done by the fire. The whole building was almost lost, except for the back part, if you’re looking at it from Pasong Tamo. (How I wish I could take a picture of it, though)
